Ivatt 2MT Class No. 41248 (built 1949) pictured at Shillingstone’s Up platform at night, flash-lit. The signal box is in the background.

41248 is shown as allocated to Templecombe from June/July 1953 until November/December 1960. Withdrawn in November 1964. This indicates that the photo was probably taken in the late ’50s.
