Ivatt 2MT Class No. 41248 (built 1949) pictured at Shillingstone’s Up platform at night, flash-lit. The signal box is in the background.
Although the photographer made no connection between this pair of images, close examination shows the driver to be the same.
41248 is shown as allocated to Templecombe from June/July 1953 until November/December 1960. Withdrawn in November 1964.
