Description

BR Standard Class 5 No. 73052 (built 1954) – with 82F shedplate – is seen on the Down Pines Express with 10 carriages approaching the Hammoon road bridge between Sturminster Newton and Shillingstone in 1961.

73052 is shown as allocated to Bath Green Park from new until withdrawal in December 1964/January 1965.

A platelayers’ hut can be seen in the background; the remains of this are still there today alongside what is now the North Dorset Trailway.
