Templecombe; 53804 takes goods service up the spur line; G A Richardson

Ona dull, misty day, Fowler S&D 7F No. 53804 (built 1914 as S&D No. 84, with 82F Bath Green Park shedplate) takes a train of wagons plus a few vans up the spur line to Templecombe Upper.

In the distance can be seen Templecombe No.2 Junction signal box and the single line leading down-gradient from there is the S&D main line to Henstridge, Sturminster Newton and Broadstone.

53804 is shown as already allocated to Bath Green Park at the time of nationalisation in 1948 and remaining there until withdrawal in February 1962.
