Description

BR Standard Class 4 No. 75009 (built 1951) and Fowler S&D 7F No. 53806 (built 1925 as S&D No. 86) are seen on a Cleethorpes to Exmouth service in 1962. 75009 is carrying the 1O92 reporting code disc.

Part of the disused down-side Moorewood sidings, and tank traps, can be seen.

The first sidings here originally opened on the Up side in around 1900/01 to serve the Somerset Fullers Earth and Ochre Company Ltd. With a decline in traffic, the sidings had all closed by December 1964 and the signal box followed on 5 July 1965.
