Description

Fowler S&D 7F No. 53807 (built 1925 as S&D No. 87) and Fowler 4F Class No. 44558 (built 1922 as S&D No. 58) are on the nine-carriage Home Counties Railway Society (HCRS) Somerset & Dorset railtour on 7 June 1964.

In this view the train appears to have just returned from Highbridge and, looking at the position of the points, is being propelled over the crossover from the Down line to the Up line.

53807 is shown as already allocated to Bath Green Park at the time of nationalisation in 1948 and remaining there until withdrawal in September 1964. 44558 is shown as already allocated to Bath Green Park at nationalisation in 1948 and remaining there right through until withdrawal in December 1964.
