Description

BR Standard Class 5 No. 73051 (built 1954, with 82F Bath Green Park shedplate) is seen on the Down (Bournemouth-bound) Pines Express on Corfe Mullen bank. No date is given for this picture.

Eight carriages can be seen though there would almost certainly be more than that.

This is on the single-track line between Broadstone and Corfe Mullen Junction that was built in the 1880s to avoid the need for S&D traffic to reverse at Wimborne.

73051 is shown as allocated to Bath Green Park from new until withdrawal in December 1965.
