Description

Great Western Collett 5700 Class No. 3795 (built 1938, with 82E Bristol Barrow Road shedplate) takes a train of vans – plus at least one wagon – up the spur line to Templecombe Upper. The loco shed in Templecombe Lower Yard can be seen below the spur line embankment.

The photo was taken while allocated to Bristol Barrow Road; this is shown as being from from August to November 1961 and from January 1962 until withdrawal in May 1963. 3795 was indeed allocated to Templecombe for two periods; shown as being from February to April 1961 and from November 1961 to January 1962.
