Description

BR Standard Class 9F No. 92203 (built 1959) is seen having just passed under the Cliff cutting overbridge, south of Shillingstone, in 1960 with a passenger service. The cutting was used for landfill up to 1991 and now, just one bridge parapet can be found. The North Dorset Trailway uses the trackbed and passes over this point.

92203 is not shown as allocated as Bath Green Park at any time but is wearing an 82F (Bath Green Park) shedplate in the photo. 92203 was subsequently rescued by the artist David Shepherd and named ‘Black Prince’, a name that it did not carry in BR service.
