Description

Great Western Collett 2251 Class No. 2223 (built 1940) hauls an Up passenger service out of Shillingstone past the signal box and goods yard. No date is given for this image.

2223 is shown as withdrawn in May 1962 without ever being allocated to an S&D shed – from autumn 1959, the loco was allocated to Ebbw Vale.
