Description

Fowler S&D 7F No. 53809 (built 1925 as S&D No. 89, with 82F Bath Green Park shedplate) and BR Standard Class 5 No. 73049 (built 1953) head the 9.08 am (SO) Birmingham-Bournemouth service through Midsomer Norton South on Saturday 1 September 1962. The last through services over the S&D ran on the following Saturday.

The reporting code of 1O90 for this service is being displayed on the front locomotive.

53809 is shown as already allocated to Bath Green Park at the time of nationalisation in 1948 and remaining there until withdrawal in May/June 1964. 73049 is shown as allocated to Bath Green Park from June/July 1962 until August-October 1964.
