BR Standard Class 9F No. 92233 (built 1958, with 82F shedplate) approaches Masbury summit through the rock cutting on what is believed to be a Bournemouth-Bradford service – reporting code 1O82 is being displayed but that normally applied in the Down direction only. The train has 12 carriages.

In the far distance, the upper arm of the co-acting pair on the Masbury Down Home signal can be seen in the high res. version of the image.

92233 is shown as allocated to Bath Green Park from June/July 1962 until the following September/October.
