Description
In 1965 Ivo made two visits to Scotland. This programme opens with a Hughes-Fowler Crab hauling an enthusiasts’ special of nine brake-vans over various colliery lines in Ayrshire. This is followed by specials hauled by the Jones Goods, the A4 “Golden Plover”, the Caledonian Single and “Gordon Highlander”. We also visit the Holyrood and Balerno branches and conclude the first half with a number of Crabs working to and from pits in Ayrshire.
The second half of the programme covers visits to Sunderland in 1967: NCB collieries at Wearmouth, Marley Hill and Derwenthaugh, the NCB depot at Philadelphia, crane tanks at William Doxfords, the diminutive 1862 tank at Seaham Harbour, and various BR locomotives, J27s and Q6s, hauling trains to and from local collieries.
All the locomotives seen in this DVD are listed on the inside of the cover.
