Description

Starting in North Wales, Ivo visits the Vale of Rheidol, and in 1961 and 1962 the Talyllyn Railway. Next is his first visit to the Welshpool & Llanfair, and a brief time with the Festiniog. In 1963 he is at the newly constructed Bicton Woodland railway.

The major part vof the DVD is Ivo’s first visit to the Isle of Man. He goes to Douglas for a typical day on the line; starting early with preparing locomotives and stock, he follows the line from Douglas to Port Erin and films at Castletown, then on to the northern line to Ramsey, passing through Union Mills and St. Johns, the junction for Peel. We return to Doughlas in the evening, putting carriages into their sidings and the locomotives back to shed.
