Description

BR Standard Class 9F No. 92001 (built 1954, with 82F Bath Green Park shedplate) photographed on a Down through service of 10 carriages in the cutting just prior to the Chilcompton Tunnels.

A reporting number of 1O93 is shown – indicating a Sheffield to Bournemouth service.

92001 is shown as allocated to Bath Green Park from May/June to October/November 1961 and again from June/July 1962 until the following September/October.

Today, the cutting has been filled in and the restored running line from Midsomer Norton stops at the foot of the infill, just behind the rear of the train in this view.
