Description

BR 4MT class 4-6-0 locomotive No. 75073 (built 1955, with 82F Bath Green Park shedplate)  and BR Standard Class 5 No. 73054 (built 1954) are on the 9.08 am Birmingham New Street to Bournemouth West service, reporting code 1O90, near the Chilcompton Tunnels.

75073 is shown as being allocated to Bath Green Park from 1957 until moved to Templecombe from November 1962 and was withdrawn in December 1965/January 1966. 73054 is shown as allocated to Bath Green Park from March/April 1961 until withdrawal in August 1965. This therefore strongly suggests that the photo was taken in summer ’61 or ’62.
