Description

To the left, Fowler 2P Class No. 40569 (built 1928) can be seen with a van which is part of the 12.23 pm Templecombe-Bournemouth passenger service, shortly after arrival.

Centre, Bulleid Battle of Britain Class No. 34053 Sir Keith Park (built 1947, with 71B Bournemouth shedplate) waits to pull away with a long passenger service for Waterloo. Code SPL 44 is displayed.

To the right, Drummond M7 Class No. 30127 (built 1911) is at the head of empty stock. No date is given for this photo but the allocations indicate a range of 1960-63.

40569 is shown as already allocated to Bath Green Park upon nationalisation in 1948 and remaining either there or at Templecombe until withdrawal in November 1961. 34053 is shown as allocated to Bournemouth from February/March 1960 until withdrawal in October 1965. The shed was recoded to 70F in September 1963. 30127 is shown as allocated to Bournemouth from 1955 until withdrawal in November 1963.
