Rails to Poole Harbour

Out of stock

This is an excellent collection of photographs and a detailed history of the railways around and within the town of Poole in Dorset. The author’s local railway knowledge and photographs are quite extensive, covering the now extinct lines on Poole Quay, West Quay Road, Newquay, the goods line adjacent to Hamworthy Park, the Hamworthy to Broadstone line, the Holes Bay curve etc; and even the minature railway in Poole Park. An obvious labour of love by everyone concerned, if you live in the Poole / Hamworthy / Upton area, whether you are a railway fan or not you will find yourself reading and looking at the photos therein for hours on end.
