Thanks to the Medstead Wagon Group at the Watercress Line, we now have a repainted Road Van looking resplendent. This vehicle dates from 1900 and was restored initially by our volunteers at Washford in the late 1990s.

L&SWR 'Road Van' No. 12424 built in 1900.

Following its move to Hampshire in May 2021 it has been stored awaiting a few bodywork tasks which have now been completed. It now resides at Medstead, the delightful station at the summit of the line. Our Wagon No. 747 will be next to receive attention to prevent weather damage. I would like to thank the volunteers at Medstead for this superb job which, as you can see, has SR on one side and LSWR on the other.
