The Trust’s S&D 7F No. 53808 was being steam-tested today following work on the cylinder steam pipe. That work is good, though other issues have come to light which will need attention before the loco re-enters traffic.
In the second picture, Kilmersdon – minus boiler and saddle tank – has been moved in alongside 53808. The 1929-built Peckett is being overhauled with the intention of being back in service next spring. There is a video of the boiler lift available on this link.
