Description
Standard Class 4 No. 76057 crosses the River Stour just south of Wimborne station with a passenger service from the Broadstone & Poole direction.
The locomotive was allocated to Bournemouth in late 1959 and the photo was taken in 1960.
Note the two rowing boats on the river; one with four people, the other an ‘eight’ [eight rowers with sweep oars, plus coxswain].
