Ex-SR unrebuilt Bulleid ‘Battle of Britain’ class 4-6-2 no. 34074 ’46 Squadron’ (with high-sided tender, with 72A Exmouth Junction shedcode) a Down Bournemouth West & Waterloo passenger train with (incorrect?) SR headcode no. 4 (Wareham & Swanage or Brockenhurst & Lymington). Saturday 15 July 1961.

The train is heading down the now-dismantled east chord of the Branksome Triangle. The main line viaduct is just visible on the left of the picture.
