Ex-SR unrebuilt Bulleid Battle of Britain class 4-6-2 No. 34057 ‘Biggin Hill’ (allocated to 75A Brighton shed) Bournemouth West Junction, Branksome triangle, with 6.35pm passenger train from Bournemouth West to Brighton with SR headcode no. 26 (Brighton and Bournemouth), leading carriage labelled set no. 875 (recorded by Southern Railway Email Group as MkI set BSK no. 34251, SK no. 24311, CK no. 15033 & BSK no. 34252). Monday 23 July 1962.

The train is heading up the now-dismantled east chord of the Branksome Triangle. Note lower-quadrant ground signal in foreground.
