Description

This title is the first in a new Stenlake Publishing series featuring the work of railway photographers, in this case J. C. Way.

Mr. Way moved to Bath in 1958 deliberately finding a house that backed onto the Somerset & Dorset Railway so he could indulge his passion for train-watching and taking photographs. He rented an allotment too which meant he could potter away tending his vegetables in between taking photos of locomotives.

The Somerset & Dorset line closed in 1966 so this book celebrates the glory of this line prior to its closure 50 years ago.
