54 members attended the Annual General Meeting of the Trust, held at Edington Village Hall on 28 April 2007


Members were advised of the recent death of former Museum Curator, Bill Gates. Tributes were given by former Chairman, Dr Peter Cattermole, and by Ian Young.



Vice-Chairman, Ian Young, took the chair for a discussion meeting which considered future options and directions for the Trust

Andrew Naish, outgoing Chairman, lead the business mneeting. Questions were raised on the Anuual Report concerning investment policy and on the implications of new Railway Safety Management regulations, and on the assets. The Annual Report and Accounts were adopted.

Clause 4(D) of the Constitution was amended. The new contitution is givenhere.

Andrew Naish and David Wright were elected as new committee members, along with Brian Smith, Roger Newport, Rosie Jacob, George Moon and Ian Young who were re-elected.

The date of the 2008 AGM was agreed to be held at Edington on 26 April.


Don Hillyar won the modelling cup.
John Flower was awarded the Mike Palmer Modelling Trophy for his model Jinty. The trophy was presented by Godfrey Baker, newly-elected Chairman, on the left in the lower photograph.
