A GRAND DAY WAS HAD BY ALL ABOARD THE TRUST'S CHARTER TRAIN
As part of the Trust's hire agreement with the West Somerset Railway for its 7F locomotive No.88, we the Trust have the use of the locomotive and train for one day each year to make a a return trip over the line.
This year the train ran on the 22nd September, and carried around one hundred and fifty passengers both members and public. The weather was good and the company delightful.
It is always interesting to note ways in which our passenger's use the day; walking from one station to another to be picked up on our return journey seems one favourite, the open top bus to Lynmouth, and of course, Dunster is always a favourite.
An on board raffle is always well supported, the first prize of a 'Foot Plate Pass' kindly donated by the WSR is always high on the wish list, this year won by a very deserving member who has supported the train for many years.
Watch out for next years train and avail yourself of a grand day out in good company, and into the bargain help raise funds for the Trust by so doing.
